ALABAMA STATE REP. WARD RECOGNIZES ERS RENT ME FOR CHARITY PROGRAM DATE: Monday, August, 24 Equipment Rental & Supply (ERS) is helping its clients champion some very worthwhile causes through its new Rent Me for Charity program. The way it works is simple – when a customer rents a piece of equipment for six months or longer, 10% of the revenue goes to the charity of their choice and the equipment will be decaled to reflect their chosen charity. The extended reach forklift in the attached photo is dedicated to Mitchell’s Place, a comprehensive treatment center for children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). On August 24, children at Mitchell Place will sign the forklift and Alabama State Representative Cam Ward, chair of the Alabama Autism Task Force, will recognize ERS for its efforts. Currently, three extended reach forklifts and a manlift are available through the Rent Me for Charity program, but other ERS equipment will be included as the program grows. Organizations currently involved in the program include Mitchell’s Place, Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Multiple Sclerosis Society and the United Way with its 80 plus programs. All non-profit organizations are eligible to participate in the program. “During these economic times, philanthropies need our help now more than ever. Budgets and donations have been cut, but the needs haven’t gone away. Help us promote this equipment to bring funds and exposure to these charities,” ERS Manager Todd Lankford. In addition to its working function, the equipment will also make appearances at charity events like the American Heart Association Start! Heart Walk in Birmingham Ala.’s Linn Park Saturday, August 22 to raise the program and charity’s profile even more.
